I’ve tried Holboellia and this is a much better form/species. I like its scent, but it became so large I had to move it from the house wall to a tree and it has taken about 4 tries to establish it— as its extensive root system provided plenty of offshoots over 4 years of digging it out! Not hardy here in Devon reputedly at 450 feet, so that is why I thought it was safer on the wall. My one has white flowers and your looks much nicer..
Have I read something about doing it from root cuttings? Or am I imagining that. I’m pretty sure Crug do it from seed so maybe some are hybrids, but I’ve seen a few pictures and it appears variable. They should pick a good form and do it vegetatively maybe. Mine gets hammered by strong winds but doesn’t seem to suffer from cold too much.
