Episode 4

The November edition of the television programme that I mentioned two months ago has now gone up on the Cornwall Stress Free Television Vimeo channel, where I brave the weather to tell you a bit about what is happening in my garden in autumn.

      1. I don’t blame you. I can’t stand to hear a replay of my voice. I can’t imagine how awful it would be to SEE myself, as well. Thank you for making videos and checking them.

  1. How cool is that!!! Do you rehearse? Who is the cameraman? Your garden is so lush, how do you know where to walk without stepping on a plant? I can’t see how you get water in your water tanks. Is the opening at the top?

    1. So many questions!! I don’t rehearse, I scribble notes to myself ahead of filming day and try to commit the main points to my failing memory. Most of the time I’m extemporising, and we only rarely do more than one take. The cameraman is a retired BBC sound engineer called Joe Driver, ably assisted by his partner Nikki. Underneath the lushness is a solid flat path, so I’m safe enough provided I don’t trip over anything.
The tanks have a lid on the top and I filled the top tank using that, but I can’t get at the lid on the bottom tank so I filled it by pumping water through the outlet pipe at the bottom of the tank. I have a capable submersible pump that gives me mains pressure and flow, it took about an hour to fill each tank.
